PLAYtime! at Esplanade. THE MAGIC TREE HOUSE

A series designed for audiences aged two to four that seeks to nurture their interest in performing arts. PLAYtime! performances are interactive and encourage toddlers in the audience to join in the narration with simple actions. Each presentation aims to developing toddlers’ linguistic and physical awareness, while encouraging interaction and play with other members of the audience.

Hakim just watch his first PLAYtime! theatre last Sunday , and I'm sure it won't be his last one.He truly enjoyed the show. It is held at Esplanade Recital Studio. Its free seating, so Mummies, do be there early to get better seat.
The current play is The Magic Treetop .

SYNOPSIS:

Fly around with Mommy Robin! Sing with her as she nurses and waits for her eggs to hatch.

Run along the branches and play with the squirrels.

Reach out and try to touch the clouds!

Hide amongst the thick leaves for some shade when the sun comes out.

If it rains, use the leaves as an umbrella to shelter yourself! And after that, if you are lucky, you may just discover something special across the sky!.

Its really interactive with the cast asking questions,and sking them to dance with them. The main song was repeated many times, so the kids rememberes them. And it is also to the familiar tune of "head and shoulder, knees and toes".
The actors and puppets will come really close with the audience. Some kids even get to touch them. The will be floating bees and clouds.
The kids will get to help the characters throughout the show. One of them is helping the chameleon his coloured spots. There are many round cushion on the audience seating area, and the kids cam go up stage to put it on the chameleon's body.
Also cameras and photo taking are allowed during the show, so i get to snap some and share here.

Hakim's fever seizure~

Hakim had fever seizure on Monday night, at 11+pm.....It was really scary. My heart just broke to see my baby in that condition. With eyes rolling up, hands shaking, not responsive, ...*Tuhan saja yang tahu perasaan Ibu*. I feel really bad, because I was sleeping and did not realise his temperature shoot up to 39.5deg. Thank goodness, hubby and me decided that I should sleep over at my mum's place that nite. Or it could be worse. Mak was the one who realise he was having seizure and wake all of us up and Hazwan was quick to call the ambulance.

The seizure last not more than 2 mins, but felt like forever! Hakim was admitted to NUH for a day. We decided to bring him home even though he's still having high temperature on and off because he was uncomfortable there. Not use to the hospital environment and refuse to sleep in the cot. He's still having his fever. Doctore says Viral fever will take at least 3 days to clear. SO we have to keep sponging him. My hubby, parents are taking turns to take care of him at nite because he can be fine one minute and have fever again soon after.

Tired *yawn* * need sleep* ZZzzzz

IMM Building Playground

IMM at Jurong East is one of our favourite shopping centre . There are a very extensive variety of retail shops-more than 250 retailers so you can find about anything in IMM. There is also a big Giant supermarket at level 1. There's is so many choice to eat at IMM with over 35 F&B like MacDonald and Swenson.
There is numerous shops for kids located at Level 2.

But what we love most is the Outdoor Playground and the Water Play Area located at the Rooftop Garden at Level 3. The downside is t it can get very crowded on weekends and really hot. So mummys, please bring sunblock and do take care of your little ones because there will be many older kids at the playgrounds.

Choa Chu Kang Park

There is a toddler's playground, an adventure playground, galaxy playground, a multi purpose court for exercising, a fitness corner and footpath.
The park is suitable for all ages to play and relax.
However please take note the adventure, galaxy and toddler's playground is not that well litted at night so it is best not to go after 8pm.
And mummies, please do bring and put lots of insect repellant on your kids beacsue there's quite a few creepy crawlers around.
There is also a nice restaurant at the park , Rasa Istimewa C2K. It is a nice halal eatery with a rustic kampong feeling amidst the lush grenery . The menu includes satay, seafood, chinese rojak, and a variety of rice and noodles.

Paragon Junior at Paragon Shopping Centre

The stores there can be high-end and upmarket but it is definitely the most kids friendly shopping centre in Orchard Road with lots of stores that appeal to kids and mummies too.
Best feature is the Playground located at Level 5 for children 2-6 years old. It can get a little crowded during peak periods(weekend, public holidays) though.

You can find a numerous coin operated rides for the little ones at level 5.

Hakim's favourite is the mini carousel.

Activity corner, outside The first few years shop. There are bead chasers, puzzles and a little slide for your tots.

Theres are a few Coin operated Computer games console to keep the kiddos entertained while mummy shops~

You can always go for the trial class to see if you and baby is comfortable with the class. We love the class but did not enrol because of distance and my busy schedule. But its definitely worth the money. Oh, did I mention it is quite pricey. Refer to the website for price and class schedule.

I brought Hakim to My Gym trial class at Woodlands Civic Centre, just opposite Causeway Point when he was just 10 months old. The teachers were very engaging and activities appeals Hakim. He truly enjoyed the class, especially the gym activities and did not want to go home!
